Show Dates: October 10 - November 20, 2026

BLOC Gallery is pleased to present Where Light Touches Memory, a solo exhibition by Houston-based multidisciplinary artist Brooke Walzel. Working across painting, cyanotype quilting, and sculpture, this collection explores memory, identity, and dreamcore fantasy through layered portraits and scenes.

Brooke creates works that allow memory and the present to coexist. Rooted in her background in darkroom photography, her cyanotypes preserve fleeting moments through light sensitive processes, while quilt-like sewn compositions blur the boundaries between photography, painting, and textile traditions. Where Light Touches Memory invites viewers into a contemplative space where recollection and imagination converge.
